Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License with School Social Work Endorsement
- Minimum of a Masters Degree in School Social Work from an accredited college or university
- Provide the District with all official transcripts of college credit

Performance Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services for primary and elementary students (Pre-K–4th grades), both individual and group.
- Consult and collaborate with staff and parents to support student success.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
- Collaborate with and refer students and families to community agencies and resources.
- Serve as a member of the Individual Problem-Solving Teams.
- Participate in the related services collaboration team.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and collaborate on Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed.
- Collect data for social and behavioral programs to inform interventions and support student progress.
- Conduct thorough social and developmental evaluations to support Case Study Evaluations and Re-evaluations.
- Use a variety of assessment tools and techniques, including observation, interviews, and standardized instruments, to evaluate student performance within the school environment.
- Develop and implement a variety of evidence-based intervention strategies that enhance students' educational and emotional development.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, and the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Design services based on a comprehensive understanding of the educational setting, as well as the needs of students, families, and the community.
- Provide individual and group counseling to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Partner with parents to create and implement instructional programs for use in the home environment.
- Facilitate parent education and counseling to strengthen the home-school connection.
- Build strong consultative and collaborative relationships with colleagues, parents, and community partners to support student learning and well-being.
- Offer guidance to teachers on addressing minor behavioral, adjustment, and socialization challenges.
- Advocate for and drive systemic changes that meet the needs of students, families, and the school community.
- Understand and respect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of students, creating inclusive opportunities tailored to meet their unique needs.
- Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and confidentiality in all practices..
- Conduct thorough and sensitive interviews with parents to gather information critical to educational planning and social/developmental studies.
