Duties
We’re looking for a dynamic science teacher to join our junior high team! The position begins in August of the 2025-26 school year.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold a Professional Educator’s License in the State of Illinois: 6-8 certification is required; 6-12 is preferred. Priority will be given to applicants with certification to teach additional subjects.
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits are regionally competitive and determined by experience in conjunction with the negotiated agreement.
Additional Notes
The Lexington School District is located in and around a small rural community situated along Interstate #55, and is an easy 20 minute drive from Bloomington-Normal.
We have a brand new science classroom, and our building is undergoing several renovations and additions that will be completed before the start of the 2025-26 school year.
Our district contains an elementary-, a junior high, and a high school, all of which are high achieving, including receiving numerous exemplary designations and other accolades. These achievements are possible due to an innovative, dedicated staff and a supportive community.
