Duties

Lexington High School is looking for a high school business or computer teacher to join our team.  The position begins in August of the 2025-26 school year. 

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must hold a Professional Educator’s License in the State of Illinois:  9-12 certification is required; 6-12 is preferred.  Priority will be given to applicants with certification to teach additional subjects. 

Salary/Benefits

Salary and benefits are regionally competitive and determined by experience in conjunction with the negotiated agreement.

The Lexington School District is located in and around a small, rural community situated along Interstate #55, and is an easy 20 minute drive from Bloomington-Normal. 

Our building is undergoing several renovations and additions that will be completed before the start of the 2025-26 school year.  Our district contains an elementary-, a junior high-, and a high school, all of which are high achieving and have received numerous accolades. 

Our high school has received “Exemplary” State Designation five out of six years, and our staff enjoy small class sizes with infrequent behavioral incidents.  All of our achievements are possible due to an innovative, dedicated staff and a supportive community.
