Duties
The primary responsibility of the Academy Principal is to promote the spiritual and educational development of staff and students. As a religious leader, the principal announces, witnesses, and shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ as expressed in the Catholic Church. As an educational leader, the principal directs and coordinates planning, implementation, and evaluation of the total educational program. Additionally the principal provides vision and leadership to the school’s advancement and community relations initiatives.
Qualifications
The search committee seeks candidates who are capable and comfortable providing strong organizational, operational, and faith leadership.
- Applicants must be professed and practicing Catholics and hold an advanced degree in education or related fields.
- Applicants must possess a lived understanding of Catholic educational philosophy, goals and objectives.
- Applicants must have five years of teaching and/or administrative experience in a Catholic school
- Applicant should have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills
- Institutional advancement and community relations experience is preferred.
