Duties

Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 6th Grade Teacher to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for our students. The ideal candidate will foster academic growth, social development, and a love for learning while adhering to curriculum standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, cooperation, and active participation among students.

  • Assessment: Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.

  • Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs and styles.

  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.

  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.

  • Professional Development: Stay updated on educational best practices, new technologies, and curriculum changes through ongoing professional development.

  • Extracurricular Activities: Participate in school events, committees, and extracurricular activities to support the school community and student engagement.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification for the state.
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment.
