Duties
The North Shore Academy Science and Math Teacher will have responsibilities that require licensure as a general education teacher and highly qualified status to teach both math and science. This individual will be responsible for curriculum development, lesson planning and the teaching of math and science classes. This teacher may span middle school and high school section classes.

Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare class instruction and curricula which meet unit and course objectives
- Develop formative and summative assessments to track student progress in units of study
- Integrate best-practice instructional methodologies specific to individual student needs
- Serve as a content resource to students in curricular areas and to team members to support differentiation
- Plan activities which are related to student success on objectives
- Assist team in development and updating of student IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, needs, assessments etc
- Assist in planning alternate assessments, portfolios, curriculum based measurement, etc
- Utilize data based decision making to differentiate instruction to support student outcomes
- Ensure instructional focus through a trauma-informed practices and with cultural sensitivity
- Establish a classroom atmosphere which shows respect for students and facilities productive and collaborative learning
- Participate collaboratively in developing curricula
- Maintain positive relationships with parents and other stakeholders at North Shore Academy
- Participate in staff meetings, student planning meetings, and collaboration as defined by administrator
- Work collaboratively with related service personnel to ensure services are delivered in natural settings to the greatest extent appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned by administration.

Salary/Benefits
Compensation:
This position follows the TrueNorth 804 Faculty Association Collective Bargaining Agreement for both regionally competitive salaries and excellent benefits.
