Duties
JOB TITLE:
Full-time Speech and Language Pathologist (High School and Route 21 Transition)
JOB GOAL:
To assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students, particularly those enrolled in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans. To collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans that support students' academic and social success.

Director of Special Services
DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in secondary school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate speech and language goals into students' educational programs
- Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to facilitate improvement
- Participate in IEP meetings to contribute expertise regarding speech and language goals and accommodations
- Provide support and training to teachers and staff on strategies to promote language development and communication skills in the classroom
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress reports, and treatment plans in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
- Keep abreast of current research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
- Advocate for the needs of students with communication disorders and participating in school-wide initiatives to promote inclusivity and accessibility
- Complete paperwork consistent with expectations and regulations associated with IDEA

Salary/Benefits
Compensation is based on Appendix "A" of the Agreement between the Board of Education, O'Fallon Township High School District No. 203, and the O'Fallon Federation of Teachers, which can be found at this link: CBA-Teachers.pdf. This position is eligible for medical/dental/vision/life insurance benefits, tuition assistance, and paid time off. This position participates in the Teacher Retirement System (TRS).
