Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills which foster good working relationships with internal and external users
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with computers, printers and software applications
- Advanced experience with computer networking and operating systems such as Windows 7, Windows 10, Apple iOS, Android and Apple OSX
- Advanced working knowledge and experience with hardware, projection devices, telecommunications, multimedia technology, printers and multifunction copiers
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office applications
- Advanced working knowledge of remote access systems
- Skills, aptitude and physical ability to perform assigned duties including, but not limited to, setting up computers and peripherals

- Advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Educational Technology field

- Ability to drive throughout DuPage County to all SASED locations (mileage reimbursed)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements a technology plan consistent with the mission and vision of SASED then updates such plan on a regular basis incorporating user satisfaction survey data
- Coordinate completion of Help Desk tickets
- Maintain compliance with state and federal laws and regulations related to but not limited to SOPPA
- Serves as a member of the SASED administrative team and assists in the identification of, and solutions to, cooperative technology needs and issues
- Serves as liaison between SASED, strategic partners and member districts
- Develops and administers the approved technology budget
- Supervises, prioritizes, and assigns the work of technology staff and Junior Systems staff, as well as project management
- Evaluates Junior Systems staff
- Develops and maintains recovery plans to ensure technology systems and operations continue in the event of an emergency
- Collaborates in all aspects of creating, sustaining and enhancing of a robust infrastructure by conferring with strategic partners and vendors to provide a technology rich learning environment
- Manages applications, phones and security systems, media and hardware
- Develops practices and procedures for the safe, efficient, effective and acceptable use of technology and telecommunications, including professional development for cybersecurity
- Is responsible for securing the network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation (new employees and students, includes fobs)
- Is responsible for maintaining an inventory of all technology related items (licenses, fobs, phones, hardware, etc.)
- Creates and implements a strategy for the purchase, deployment, repair, maintenance and utilization of hardware, software, and licenses to support instructional and administrative activities of SASED.
- Recommends the purchase of copy, facsimile, telephone and like machines and equipment and oversees a program for the installation, maintenance and, as necessary, disposal of such equipment.
- Develops and maintains processes for technology procurement that include clearly defining requirements and evaluation, and maintain vendor and partnership relationships
- Maintains the website and ensures that it is in compliance with all necessary regulations.
- Oversees the e-rate program to ensure proper filing and funding and record keeping.
- Oversees the operation of technology used for meetings, presentations and other events as necessary
- Assist faculty and staff in the installation and use of special peripheral devices including printers, scanners, interactive devices, digital cameras and projection devices.
- Coordinates with member district technology departments for access and configuration
- Maintains 1:1 device management plan in coordination with member districts
- Ensure that disposal of obsolete hardware and software is handled quickly in accordance security standards, and in an environmentally friendly and secure way
- Remains attuned to current development in the field of technology and shares such information with personnel
Salary/Benefits
Salary Range $88,000-$98,000
