Duties
A Sign Language Interpreter in a K-12 school setting facilitates communication between deaf and hard-of-hearing students and others by interpreting and transliterating spoken material in both general and special education environments. They ensure students can fully participate in educational activities, such as classes, field trips, and assemblies, while also providing support like pre-teaching vocabulary and tutoring. In addition to interpreting duties, they collaborate with educators, supervise and assist students, and engage in professional development, adhering to ethical standards and district policies. They contribute to the overall safety and effectiveness of the school environment.

Salary/Benefits
177Days, 7 Hours/Day Salary Range: $24.95 - $47.29 per hour depending on experience
