Duties

Reporting to the Supervisor, assists in the administration of department grant programs related to the whole child; provides ongoing technical assistance and monitoring of state and/or federal grant programs, including review of disapproval/approval or grant objectives, goals, and activities. Assists with the writing, review, and implementation of federal and state request for proposals and grant administration, provides grant-related technical assistance to schools, districts, and community-based organizations, creates resources and supplemental materials for grant programs. Provides supports for specialized projects, as necessary. 

  • Administers grant programs that focus on the whole child including but not limited to after school program grants, 21st Century Community Learning Centers and/or other federal or state grant programs. 
  • Performs onsite monitoring as scheduled/necessary.
  • Under identified parameters and in conjunction with other agency staff, researches, collects, and analyzes information regarding areas of high priority for the department including, but not limited to, climate and culture survey, school discipline, trauma-informed care, and blending and braiding of funding mechanisms. 
  • Provides guidance and technical assistance to school districts and other stakeholders on all matters related to the needs of the whole child.
  • Provides support for specialized projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant professional experience. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
  • Two years of experience (in addition to education requirements) overseeing grant related work or grant management, or related experience. 
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to define problems and apply problem solving techniques to complex issues. 
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel, Teams/SharePoint). 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Human Services or other related field. 
  • Two years of experience (in addition to education requirements) working in a pre k-12 school or district, regional office of education, intermediate service center, community-based organization, nonprofit organization, or state education agency or other related experience.

$57,461 - $72,614
$57,461 - $97,790
Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
