Duties
The art teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging art lessons that promote students’ creativity and artistic development. This role involves creating a positive learning environment, encouraging students to express themselves through art, and ensuring students develop basic skills in various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and other visual arts. Must have the ability to foster a love for the arts and encourage students to explore their creativity through hands-on projects and activities. Individual must be flexible, creative, and student-centered; ability to assess the learning of students and modify or enhance instruction as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications include: valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an art endorsement for grades K-8.
