Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois, has an opening for a Human Anatomy/Biology Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.

- Must be able to teach Human Anatomy and Biology
- Be joyful, flexible, communicative, collaborative, and tech savvy
- Enjoy working with students to foster a healthy, supportive classroom environment
- Be well-versed in modern teaching methods, including the use of the iPad in the classroom
- Boast experience teaching students critical reading skills and analytical writing skills
RESPONSIBILITES
- Subject Instruction:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures.
- Manage student behavior and address any issues promptly and effectively.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance.
- Use assessment data to inform instructional planning and differentiation.
- Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and improvement of the curriculum.
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into lessons when appropriate.
- Stay updated on educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies.
- Parent and Community Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school-related events.
- Collaborate with the community to enhance the educational experience.
- Professional Development:
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and insights.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, and training sessions as required
