Duties
This position for 2026-2027 will be part of our alternative education team and will work directly with the students placed in each of our alternative education programs located in Jackson County. As a social worker at ROE 30, this position may conduct assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students for the purpose of identifying learning or social interaction issues, and recommending courses of action or corrective procedures to overcome issues and maximize learning. This position will work with students who are chronically absent, chronically truant and/or students participating in ROE 30's alternative education programs. The position may be involved in organizing and participating in parent education activities. This position will assist students and staff in implementing students' intervention management plans and coordinate with outside agencies as needed.
Qualifications
For social worker, a Professional Educator License (PEL), Short-term PEL, or the ability to obtain a PEL within 3 years with a master’s degree or higher in Social Work from accredited social work program; Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation. Experience with at-risk youth preferred.
