  • Implements a collaborative coaching and learning approach
  • Assists new teachers, in a collaborative model of observation, conversation, and lesson demonstration, to analyze and reflect on their practice to promote quality instructional practices
  • Provide individualized, classroom-based coaching with participants to support them in implementing good instructional practices
  • Assists teachers in aligning their teaching with appropriate standards, curriculum and assessments.
  • Facilitates professional collaborative groups among teachers in which issues related to implementing effective content instruction are considered
  • Support and assist teachers in using FastBridge/Horizon data to inform instruction
  • Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction and planning, including new resources
  • Provide support to teachers in integrating technology using best practices
  • Research and inform teachers of new technology, programs, applications, etc. available for use in the classroom



  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability in using student-level data to guide instructional decisions
  • Demonstrated teacher leadership
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Deep knowledge of reading, writing, literacy development, and/or math
  • Ability to model lessons demonstrating best practice instruction
  • Ability to support teachers in development of differentiated lessons
