Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work together with members of the Development team to meet or exceed annual revenue goals.
  • Contribute to the creation of an annual fundraising plan and maintain the department calendar.
  • Manage the donor database, including data entry, report generation, pledge tracking and invoicing, and moves management. Ensure accurate record-keeping of contributions.
  • Implement thank you protocols, including executing timely donor acknowledgement.
  • Maintain all development files and records.
  • Coordinate planning for fundraising or stewardship events.
  • Conduct prospect research.
  • Support the grant writing process, including drafting and/or editing applications and reports, communicating with foundation contacts, and updating standard materials.
  • Prepare reports and mailing lists as required.
  • Participate in the creation, planning, and implementation of new and existing projects.
  • Coordinate Title IIA and Title IV Funding requests.
  • Serve as production manager for mail and electronic appeals, social media fundraising, newsletters, and donor correspondence.
  • Model professionalism, hard work, and high ethical standards.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Protect the organization by keeping information confidential.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (communications, journalism, public relations, English, or related field preferred)
  • 1-2 year of experience in related field
  • Organized
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communications skills
  • Highly-motivated, self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Creative with capacity to think big and pay attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Tech savvy and adaptable to new software and tools. Experience with Neon CRM (or another CRM) preferred, but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism
