Duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
 

  1. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
  2. Inspire and maintain an atmosphere of professionalism across the organization.
  3. Work with key leaders to develop and implement annual strategic plan.
  4. Lead transformation initiatives which support organization mission and goals.
  5. Direct workforce planning efforts and develop annual staffing budget. 
  6. Ensure organizational excellence through acquisition and development of top talent.
  7. Lead transformative initiatives which ensures achievement of organization mission and goals.
  8. Implement and maintain a talent management system which strengthens the skills of the leadership team through formal training, executive coaching and mentoring programs.
  9. Work with Superintendent to develop succession planning document and report to Board.
  10. Provide minimal annual performance feedback to all direct reports, provide coaching and development to ensure staff members understand goals and objectives to achieve positional success.
  11. Create employee recognition programs.
  12. Develop and administer competitive compensation plans.
  13. Achieve and maintain high level of employee morale and engagement.
  14. Implement employment practices that comply with all state and federal laws and that promote employee engagement, minimize misconduct, complaints and grievances.
  15. Serve as member of collective bargaining negotiating team.
  16. Provide guidance and leadership to key personnel to assure full legal compliance.
  17. Create a safety culture throughout the organization with focus on accident prevention and claims management.
  18. Work with appropriate personnel to ensure timely and appropriate communication to key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  19. Maintain thorough knowledge of current and pending employment legislation and practices.
  20. Oversee and direct human resources system.  Ensure policies and procedures are in place and document all variance.  Audit adherence throughout the organization periodically.
  21. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  22. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s degree preferred; master’s degree in education administration preferred; Bachelor’s from an accredited university required; SPHR or CCP preferred;5 years progressive leadership experience required; with 5 years HR management experience preferred;

Salary/Benefits

Salary is based on experience. Minimum $132,000
