The Career and Technical Educations (CTE) Counselor position provides leadership and direction to the Counseling Department and assumes responsibilities in developing, implementing and evaluating a school counseling and guidance program that includes academic, career, personal/social development.  The CTE Counselor assures that college and career readiness experiences effectively help students develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and work habits necessary to matriculate into higher education and workforce.  This role utilizes Illinois State Board of Education guidelines to develop and implement a multi-year college and career readiness plan that focuses on students' individual academic, career, and social-emotional development, regardless of their preferred college or career path.  The position will work with students to develop interest in Cahokia Unit School District CTE programs, including dual credit/enrollment programs and work-based learning with partnering institutions, businesses and organizations. 


Master's degree in School Counseling and appropriate licensure.
