  • Act as a participant in a collaborative team to identify student and family needs and establish necessary supports to promote attendance, family stability and academic performance.
  • Provide direct or consultative services as designated in a student's IOEP, including group or individual counseling, collecting data, goal setting, and communicating with parents and community resources.
  • Provide needed referrals for families experiencing truancy through IRIS and other outside agencies.
  • Crisis intervention.
  • Consult and collaborate with the ROE Student Services Team regarding student progress in areas of behavior, emotional stability, and developmentally appropriate social skills.
  • Present staff development on topics of expertise and/or interests to school, ROE, or community agency personnel related to truancy and other issues that affect school attendance.
  • Participate in related service meetings, including Truancy Advisory Board (TAB) meetings, provide all relevant paperwork to schools and families, work with families after TAB to provide resources, and provide schools and TAB Director with student and family status updates.
  • Conduct weekly home visits to assess needed family support services.
  • Partner with schools to create positive relationships with students and families experiencing truancy.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Administrator.

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields of student support.
  • Experience working with at-risk students and families.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Ability to work with at-risk student and families in their home.
  • Ability to work independently following program and ROE 48 procedures.
  • Ability to use technology efficiently (ex. Google Suite, Air Table, and other data processing software). 


Salary range is $57,000 to $60,000 based on experience and education. 

Additional Notes

Position is 196 work days with hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and 40 hours per week.
