Duties
Reporting to the Director, provides specialized services in the primary areas of finance and business services, school construction programs, and charter school financial reviews. Provides assistance to school reorganization, limitation of administrative costs, school treasurer bonds, and school finance.
- Responsible for the review, system management, and administration of the maintenance, energy efficiency, school construction grant programs, temporary relocation grants and loans, and emergency financial assistance grants and loans.
- Responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing complex projects related to school finance.
- Provides technical assistance to district officials, school board members, educational constituents, and auditing firms.
- Makes presentations at district board meetings, seminars, and workshops.
- Coordinates assigned projects.
- Assists with the drafting and analysis of proposed legislation.
- Assists with the analysis of school code.
- Conducts research regarding past legislation and education processes.
- Reviews charter school applications and renewals for charter school and resident school district financial stability.
- Shares responsibilities for school finance projects including, but not limited to, annual financial reports, budgets, annual statements of affairs, ILearn, NCES reporting, and other reporting as requested.
- Shares responsibilities for school reorganization issues, administrative costs, and school treasurer bonds.
- Conducts special projects including, but not limited to, qualified school construction bond program and qualified zone academy bond program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
