Duties

Assist in the development and implementation of a local Targeted Violence Prevention Framework meant to prevent/reduce targeted violence. 

Performance responsibilities include:

  • Establish collaborative relationships with districts/schools within the region
  • Build relationships with school community key stakeholders to facilitate change and meet the immediate needs of the districts served
  • Establish collaborative relationships with district and school community stakeholders to provide support in areas, including but not limited to, targeted violence awareness, risk factors for and protective factors against radicalization to violence, media literacy, behavioral threat assessment and intervention teams, and student and school safety
  • Mapping school community resources available to support student and school safety
  • Complete a gap analysis of additional resources needed to enhance student safety
  • Facilitate regional Targeted Violence Prevention Framework development meetings
  • Facilitate drills, scenarios, tabletop exercises
  • Collect data specific to this initiative
  • Prepare and disseminate reports in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in law enforcement or related field
  • Able to effectively facilitate meetings
  • Able to develop and present professional learning experiences
  • Possess significant collaboration and coaching skills

Salary/Benefits

Salary range is $100,000 to $110,000 based on experience and education
