Duties
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist students with special needs throughout the day with academics and daily school routines. Will assist the students in following a strict schedule and maintaining his/her safety while school is in session. Assist the teacher with miscellaneous classroom tasks. Support the students and teacher to ensure success of each student in meeting his/her IEP goals. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: MUST hold an ELS (Paraprofessional) license or Professional Educator License (PEL). Good written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish, ability to communicate with all levels of staff, parents and students. Applicant must be able to meet the physical demands of working with young children and meet their basic needs such as diapers. Basic math and computer skills as well as some general office skills are needed. Spanish preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits
RANGE OF PAY: Base rate of $16.50 per hour
WORK HOURS: Full Time / 10 months
CLASSIFICATION: Aide (HESPA)
