Announcement of Superintendent Vacancy
The Cook County School District 104 Board of Education announces the commencement of a search for a new Superintendent of Schools who will assume responsibilities on July 1, 2024. This is an excellent professional opportunity for a qualified and experienced administrator to provide leadership to a diverse/multicultural suburban school district located less than 10 miles west of the City of Chicago and nearby Midway airport.
Cook County School District 104 serves students from preschool through eighth grade. District 104 encompasses a student population of 1,550 at four elementary schools, including a dual language school, and one middle school. The district is committed to developing children who are confident and creative learners. District 104 provides a strong curriculum and a supportive school environment. 80% of the student population is low income and 85% have a language other than English spoken at home. The average class size is 20:1. District 104 is financially sound and its facilities are in excellent condition.
