Duties

Our teachers are wonderful and welcoming, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package! Little Scouts Preschool is looking for a qualified Infant Teacher to join our full-day preschool. Our goal is to hire teachers that will provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where positive self-concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged and individuality is respected. This is a great opportunity to work with our littlest scouts newborn-15 months of age!

 

Little Scouts Teachers are expected to have:

  • Complete 20 hours of continuing education annually and track hours through the required professional development program

Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull and lift. Repetitive motions are required. Employees must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly subject to inside and outside environmental conditions and is subject to noises associated with educational environments.

Qualifications

  • 19 years of age or older DCFS Teacher qualified- CDA or degree in ECE is strongly preferred
  • Current Infant/Child CPR Certification (will help certify)
  • Current SIDS Certification (will help certify)
  • Current Shaken Baby Syndrome Certification (will help certify)
  • Experience with young children in an educational setting is preferred.

Salary/Benefits

Starting Rate: $17.00/hour
