Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant provides office support to North Shore Academy and Arbor.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide clerical support related to the needs of classrooms and administration within the program (including but not limited to student records, student attendance, staff mileage forms, etc.)
  • Maintain schedules, forms, departmental information and calendars for program and administration.
  • Maintain email list serves and groups
  • Ability to support and maintain electronic student database, IEP systems, as well as a Student Information System.
  • Maintain and update course codes and offerings in the SIS as well as report cards and transcripts
  • Ability to support and maintain student records including printing and updating files, closing out, etc.
  • Prepare and send parent notices as well as distribute completed copy as needed.
  • Order supplies and equipment for classrooms and process appropriate paperwork for payment and delivery.
  • Assist parents with inquiries and concerns.
  • Keep accurate accounting of all expenditures and provide accurate and timely documentation to Accounts Payable.
  • Facilitate student registration process.
  • Distribute goals, course code information, progress reports, and IEP paperwork to parents and districts. 
  • Provide communication to program stakeholders including staff and families.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal of North Shore Academy & Arbor

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent data maintenance skills
  • Highly organized and ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate strength in planning, flexibility, and efficiently meeting deadlines 
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Google
  • Willing to get an School Bus Permit
