Duties
The Director of Business and Finance will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities and tasks to support the Regional Office of Education (ROE) in matters related to the financial management of the organization.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

The successful candidate for this position will act as Director of Business and Finance and will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities and tasks to support the Regional Office of Education (ROE) in matters related to the financial management of the organization.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
Critical Duties:
- Responsible for managing all funding sources, including managing all grants from inception to completion
- Completes all audits in relation to the Regional Office such as all State requirements, IMRF, TRS, Federal Programs: SEL, McKinney-Vento, Perkins, etc.
- Completes all audits in relation to CEANCI and RAS.
- Completes all Workman’s Compensation audits.
- Prepares the annual budget for the Superintendent's review.
- Prepares monthly financial reports for the Superintendent including but not limited to cash flow, expenditures, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and ledger reconciliation.
- Supervises and evaluates the accounts payable and payroll/finance clerk.
- Oversees all purchasing, billing, and receiving.
- Oversees all functions related to payroll.
Reporting:
- Prepares state and federal reports, including but not limited to GATA, BCFST, TRS, IMRF, and 1099s.
- Prepares monthly financial reports for the Superintendent, including but not limited to cash flow, expenditures, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and ledger reconciliations.
- Ensures that the quarterly wage reports, including W-2s, are completed on time.
- Completes all Quarterly Wage Reports.
- Supports the Regional Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, as needed, in any official or unofficial complaint.
Other:
- Meets regularly with Regional Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent to update tasks and projects.
- Works collaboratively with the ROE Directors to ensure all financial needs are accounted for.
- Is an active member of the ROE leadership team as needed
- Other duties as assigned.

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) status: Exempt
