Duties

• Observes all mandatory safety regulations. 
• Transports students to and from school

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. 
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must consent in writing to the release of results of reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing by the employer of the applicant to the Secretary of State.
• Successful completion of random drug screenings is required to operate a school bus.
• Successful completion of bus driver physical required to operate a school bus. 
• Successful completion of fingerprint-based criminal background checks (IL State Police and FBI), sex offender, and violent youth offender screening.
