Duties

  1. Assists the Head Dean in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and support services to meet the needs of students experiencing difficulties social-emotional, and/or behaviorally
  2. Maintains oversight of assigned caseload and implementation of disciplinary and attendance systems per policies and procedures outlined in the student handbook
  3. Participates and assists in the supervision of co-curricular activities and events as assigned
  4. Assists the Head Dean in developing and administering practices dealing with campus control, supervision, and security to assure the safety of students, staff and community members on campus
  5. Monitors and supervises parking lot security
  6. Supervises student conduct in the school corridors and lunchrooms
  7. Communicates the interpretation of school and district disciplinary systems, policies, and procedures to students, parents, community, and staff
  8. Coordinates communication with assigned PPS team regarding caseload to develop and implement social- emotional interventions
  9. Works with police liaison/department, community and governmental agencies on problems relating to drug abuses and truancy from school
  10. Establishes and communicates the district’s and school’s values, mission and goals to staff, students, parents and community
  11. Assists in planning, directing, and evaluating school improvement plans as approved at the building or district level
  12. Monitors and/or enforces the rules and regulations for student conduct in a positive, collaborative manner, that promotes a safe, orderly and productive learning environment for staff and students
  13. Promotes and models positive interpersonal relationships and ensure aligned rewards for student progress
  14. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Associate Principal or Head Dean may from time to time assign

Qualifications

  • Professional Educator’s License
  • Type 75 Administrative or Principal’s Leadership Endorsement
  • Completed and Passed Certified Staff Mandated Training
  • Master’s Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years successful experience in Education

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Capacity and commitment to effectively model, articulate, and support the district’s mission, vision, values, and goals.
