Duties
As a member of a multidisciplinary team to assist in the development of a constructive learning situation, and to reduce the negative impact of environmental and/or other problems so that optimum learning benefits may be gained by the student.
MAJOR DUTIES & PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
The criterion indicated below is intended to describe various types of work that may be performed and is by no means all encompassing and other duties may be assigned within the Social Emotional Learning Realm.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and application of Social Emotional Learning Standards
- Evaluate the social, emotional, behavioral and health needs of students
- Identify, create and implement social work IEP goals and services
- Provide individual and group social work services
- Assist in the evaluative process of functional behavioral analysis and behavior intervention plans
- Assist in the development and monitoring of behavioral intervention plans for student in the classroom
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of effective behavioral intervention strategies
- Respond to crisis and provide intervention when necessary
- Serve as a liaison between school, families and community resources
- Ability to evaluate building needs and develop responsive programs
- Other duties assigned by administration
Qualifications
MSW paired with appropriate Illinois licensure
Salary/Benefits
Commensurate with education and level of experience.
