Duties
Donovan has an Athletic Director /Jr. Sr. High School Principal opening, beginning in July 2026. The desired qualities are high energy, a growth mindset, and student-centered leadership. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- JH/HS Athletic Director
- Scheduling all athletic events and extracurricular activities
- Evaluating coaches and sponsors
- Supervising events in conjunction with the HS principal
- Handling athlete discipline issues
- Attending area athletic committee meetings
- Assistance Principal
- Staff evaluations as assigned
- Student discipline
- Writing Grants
- Transportation
- Maintain Mileage
- Scheduling transportation for extracurricular activities, field trips, other events
- Assisting Fleet Manager with scheduling drivers
- Website maintenance and updates
- Social Media posts as directed by building principals
- Technology liaison with QNS for district technology needs
- Other duties as assigned
Ideal candidates should be able to help promote the district’s vision while serving as an innovative team leader. Donovan Jr. Sr. High School serves approximately 140 students in grades 6-12 and has 21 staff members.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess the appropriate Illinois license, with administrative endorsement, to serve as the principal. Candidate must have completed or be able to complete the mandatory teacher evaluation training prior to the start of the 26-27 school year.
Salary/Benefits
Regionally competitive based on qualifications and experience. The salary range is $75,000- $80,000 based on experience.
