Duties
JOB OVERVIEW:
- Responsible for all aspects of financial administration and financial planning of the District.
- Make fiscally responsible decisions which align with District policies, systems and procedures to support the Strategic Plan.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
FINANCE
Treasurer to the Board of Education
Preparation of all business contracts involving the school district
Manage district cash balances and investments
Prepare monthly revenue and expenditure projections for the Superintendent and Board of Education
Manage the district's bond retirement program - coordinating with Amalgamated bank
Prepare all documents for annual financial audit
Reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare, present, publish, file and implement the annual tax levy.
Prepare financial data and associated benefits required for contract negotiations.
Complete all grant expenditure reports on a monthly basis
Manage the free and reduced federal lunch program
Manage insurance programs
BUDGET
Develop, prepare, file and implement the annual budget
Present the developing budget at various Board of Education meeting
Gather data from other Administrators to support staffing projections
Project State and Federal Grant revenues and associated expenditures
PAYROLL
Prepare bi monthly payroll and remit associated deductions
Responsible for personnel operations, insurance and pension plan coordination
PURCHASING
Coordinate all purchasing for the District
Ensure accurate and timely payments of all accounts payable charges
Salary/Benefits
Regionally competitive comprehensive salary, benefits package, and pension. Salary range $120,000- $140,000. The final salary for the successful candidate will be negotiated and determined based upon proven experiences, qualifications and meeting the Board of Education's criteria.
