Duties
POSITION GOAL: Supervises and supports the work of all site staff, general supervision of operational and instructional initiatives focusing on the Civil Rights Movement; supports student achievement and ensures connections with families and students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with district personnel to understand shared goals that ultimately enhance student leaming
- Recruits community mentors (with grant coordinator)
- Supports instructors and group leaders
- Creates and manages schedules with grant coordinator
- Maintains a learning environment that is welcoming and positive
- Establishes with parents and staff behavioral expectations of students Co-leads parent advisory group
- Maintains accurate attendance and student home contact information
- Provides required reports
- Monitors transportation of students
- Implements application and registration process
- Communicates weekly with grant coordinator, Principal and other program staff Provides supply list
- Monitors and works with coordinator on budget
- Completes weekly reports
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL SKILLS:
- Embraces the philosophy of shared leadership
- Some knowledge of the Peoria community and region
- Excellent organizational skills
- Technical skills (Word, Excel and One Drive)
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience scheduling and running programs (preferred)
- Experience working with adults and students
- Must have associates degree at minimum
- Lifelong learner
- Knowledge of the Civil Rights Movement (preferred)
