Duties

Job Descriptions:

  • Must meet Illinois State Board of Education licensure requirements for certified and administrative positions.
  • The principal will be the instructional leader of the school and must represent the school and community in a positive manner.  Aside from day-to-day operations of the building, the principal shall be a key member of the administrative team, collaborative leader of the faculty and staff, and a strong communicator.  The principal will evaluate staff, utilize data and provide feedback to improve curriculum and instruction, manage a budget, supervise events, and promote an overall positive atmosphere and environment.
  • Candidate must hold an Illinois license to serve as a principal. Experience as a principal is preferred but not a requirement. The candidate must have a high level of values, strong communication and collaboration skills, strong community and public relations skills and be committed to forming and maintaining strong relationships. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are also of critical importance. The candidate must have a working knowledge of school finance and budgeting skills as well as conducting professional development with staff.
