Duties
LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a full-time school year position in Waukegan, IL. The certified teacher will work in a unique fast-paced behavioral health facility center; which involves working with adolescent students in a small classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.
Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for an average of 10-12 students, with a maximum amount of 15; in a small group setting
- Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
- Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student
Salary/Benefits
Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00. We offer a very generous package of paid time off including vacation time, sick time, federal holidays, and paid school breaks. Pay is $30-32 an hour based on experience
