Share: Print: Duties Administer formal and informal assessments, screenings and testing Analyze and interpret assessment, screening and testing information and make written reports and recommendations for services Deliver speech services to students including, but not limited to oral motor, sensory feeding, augmentative communication (hi/low tech), social thinking, articulation, etc to meet IEP goals Responsible for the proper safety and maintenance of materials and equipment; including assistive tech, routine programming, back up and shipping of devices for repair Coach and train 1:1 instructors and other professionals as appropriate Make written recommendations for audiological/medical and related services evaluations (aug comm evals) Plan and implement groups (speech and language, social, feeding) Maintain ISBE and ASHA/ISHA credentialing/certifications Collaborate on goal writing and plan evidence based interventions for individual students and group activities Participate on the IEP team, write IEP goals in accordance to ALCA policy and ABA methodologies Take and interpret data to adjust intervention strategies based on student performance, daily, weekly and quarterly Attend meetings and trainings (ex: implementation, teacher late days) Collaborate with other professionals, such as occupational, music and physical therapists, as well as life skills coach, hearing itinerant, teachers and BCBAs, etc Participate in field trips as assigned Serve as bus monitor Provide parent training as needed Provide staff training Participate in intakes and implementation meetings Maintain student, parent and staff confidentiality Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance Other duties as assigned Qualifications EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: SLP-CCC, PEL Minimum two years working with children with autism Experience with verbal and non-verbal students a must Experience with low tech aug com (PECS, visuals, etc) and dynamic display aug com (iPad, Nova Chat, Dynavox), sensory feeding (SOS), articulation, play, engagement and social skills SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Desire to work with children on the autism spectrum Detail Demonstrated ability to quickly problem solve and multi-task Demonstrated ability to meet service goals Ability to be certified in CPR/First Aid and maintain certifications Successful completion of PCM certification and annual recertification Exhibit professional conduct with school colleagues, students, parents, school districts, and the community-at-large in accordance with ALCA policies, procedures and work rules Maintain confidentiality of all employee and student information Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, etc Salary/Benefits Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance How to Apply Email resume to: cdiaz@alcacenter.org Link to District/Third Party Online Application Web Page www.alcacenter.org Email Address cdiaz@alcacenter.org School District www.alcacenter.org Position Website www.alcacenter.org City Website www.alcacenter.org ILearn Link ILearn Report Card Link District Report Card Job Posting Date 12/2/2022 Start Date 1/9/2023 Share: Print: Job Alerts Sign Up
