Duties
Teach Agriculture Education courses and serve as the FFA sponsor.
1. Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designed.
2. Plans a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
3. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity of the student.
4. Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparations upon request of supervisor.
5. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media appropriate for the maturity of the student.
6.Uses a variety of assessments to measure student success.
7. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
8. Works well with others and strives for a positive environment.
Qualifications
Must have a current license or be able to obtain licensure in the State of Illinois. Preferred agriculture certification for 6-12 grade.
Additional Notes
Successful candidates will be able to balance the needs of students in the classroom and the demands of an active and successful FFA program.
