Duties
The counselor will work with students, parents, and teachers to ensure that academic, social, and developmental needs are met. The counselor will meet with students individually and in groups. The counselor will visit classrooms to present lessons dealing with social-emotional topics. The counselor will assist in the scheduling of events and leading PBIS within the building. In addition, a wide variety of tasks are performed including curriculum planning, public relations, program development, 504 district coordinator, and etc.
Qualifications
Master's degree in school counseling from an accredited college or university. Meet the certification requirements as set forth by the Illinois State Board of Education. Individuals with accreditation in Social Work are encouraged to apply.
