Duties
Qualification Requirements:
- Possession of a proper Illinois Professional Educator License with a Bilingual Endorsement, General Administrative Endorsement and a minimum of four years of bilingual teaching experience or related work experience.
- Fluency in Spanish reading, writing and speaking required at an academic level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategies and materials for the education of bilingual students.
- Ability to travel within District.
- Willing to work toward the betterment of all students and work effectively as a member of a learning team.
- Willing to devote the time necessary to contribute to the tradition of a highly efficient and effective administrative team.
- Knowledge of technology in learning is an asset.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible to the Executive Director of English Learning.
- Assist the Executive Director in the coordination of instructional services for EL students.
- Provide support in the development and implementation of programs to enhance student performance, including dual language.
- Coordinate the process of identifying bilingual students at all grade levels district-wide, including review of student data and student testing.
- Facilitate district-wide EL team meetings to enhance teaching and learning.
- Provide instructional support for EL staff including model teaching and mentoring.
- Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and community.
- Assist with the planning of parent meetings, including parent advisory committee events.
- Work cooperatively with other staff and PTO organization.
- Perform other supervisory and technical duties as assigned.
Salary/Benefits
Compensation: $89,000 (Portion of Board Paid TRS)
