Duties
Conducts assessment/evaluation of student abilities and needs; attends and serves as a member of the IEP team to determine eligibility of students for program; assists in the development of IEP instructional goals/objectives; assists in identifying other related services for the student. Established instructional/learning environment for students to reinforce appropriate behavior and to provide academic instruction using a variety of instructional methods.
Qualifications
A special education teacher will hold either a Type O3 Elem. Certificate, Type 09 Secondary Certificate or Type 10 Special Teaching Certificate with LBS1 endorsement or an equivalent Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsement.
