Duties
To provide assistance in the implementation of the National Breakfast, Lunch and Snack
Programs guidelines and requirements in accordance with Federal, and Local regulations. Assist
the Director of Food & Nutrition Services, facilitating the day-to-day operations of the department.
Providing leadership and direction to elementary & secondary schools, and commissary staff.
Additionally, adhere to District U-46’s mission, vision, and values
Qualifications
. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Institutional Management, Food and Nutrition,
Hotel/Restaurant Management or similar related field.
2. Current Illinois Food Protection Manager Certificate.
3. SNA Certification Level 3 or above- preferred or ability to achieve within 6 months of
employment.
4. School Nutrition Specialist (SNS), preferred or ability to achieve within 12 months of
employment
