The district is seeking a second Reading teacher/interventionist at our elementary school. The ideal candidate will work extensively with students to help them improve reading and language skills in specific areas of need or skill deficit. The Reading teacher will work closely with the classroom teachers to design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child, design and implement interventions, and assist in the evaluation of current programs. Must be skilled in data collection and analysis and will be an integral part of the problem-solving team.  Must be a collaborative part of the school community and willing to help teachers diagnose reading strengths and weaknesses. Must possess instructional technology skills, communicate effectively, and relate well with students, school personnel, and parents.  Must have knowledge of curriculum materials, content standards and assessment. Must be familiar with RtI and MTSS processes.  


Professional Educator License with an emphasis in Reading to work predominantly with students in grades PreK-4.


Regionally competitive and based on experience.
