Qualifications
Assistant High School Principal – Assist the Building Principal in providing leadership necessary to assure an educational environment which is safe, attractive, pleasant, and a productive place in which to work and learn. Supports the certified staff as they seek to meet the needs of each student, recruit, select, and orientate all new personnel. Enforce student handbook and assign consequences for handbook infractions. Assist the principal with professional development. Prepare reports for district or other personnel as needed. Supervise student and staff parking lot. Supervise extracurricular events as assigned by building principal. Attend IEP meetings assigned by case managers. Conduct Drug sweeps of the campus in conjunction with local law enforcement agency. Work with local police agencies on criminal investigations involving students and supervise DCFS interviews involving students. Prepare data/reports for other district personnel. Supervise or proctor all state and local test assessments. Supervise lunchroom and assign Saturday Supervised Study. Before school and after school bus exchange student supervision. Perform other such duties and assume other such responsibilities as the principal assigns.
