Duties
The Hearing Itinerant Teacher serves students who require educational services due to a hearing loss; addresses the educational, communication, and social/emotional needs of the student; and provides guidance to the student’s family and school personnel. Travel to multiple buildings to provide direct service to students is required, and effectively consulting with a variety of staff and resource teams to identify students with hearing loss and to address individual student needs is highly valued.
Qualifications
Professional Educator License with Endorsement in Deaf /Hard of Hearing, Meets the highly qualified requirements as a DHH teacher and for the grade level/core academic subject area(s) in which the teacher is assigned (K-12). Provides services to students meeting the criteria and identified as having Deaf or Hard of Hearing eligibility so educational and functional progress can be enhanced.
