Duties
Relative to teacher responsibilities in district job description including, but not limited to the following:
- Plan a program of study which meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students;
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning;
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of clear objectives;
- Employ instructional methods/materials that are appropriate for meeting the objectives;
- Assess students on a regular basis;
- Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents regularly.
Qualifications
Appropriate degree and licensure for 9th grade English. Both K-9 and Secondary licensure with English endorsement will be considered.
Salary/Benefits
Beginning salary of $50,549 (with no prior experience including TRS). Prior years of TRS service are recognized on the salary schedule. The Board provides full cost health insurance for full-time employees as a benefit. In addition, the District provides a mentoring program for new teachers and offers a tuition reimbursement opportunity for advanced degree coursework.
