Duties
1. Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the time designated.
2. Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
3. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
4. Strives to implement by instruction and action the district’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
5. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
6. Evaluates student progress on a regular basis.
7. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
8. Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
9. Attends and participates in faculty meetings, meetings of the special education staff and C.A.S.E. meetings.
10. Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
11. Attends all staffings regarding assigned and referred students.
12. Adheres to a professional code of ethics.
13. Maintains appropriate relations and recognizes roles of school psychologist, social workers, therapists and families.
14. Acquaints himself/herself with available district and community resources.
15. Follows and/or develops an Individualized Education Program for each child enrolled.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree
LBS1 Certificate
