Duties
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as integral member/facilitator of district and school MTSS teams
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and administrators to find effective solutions to academic and behavioral struggles
- Participate as a member of the IEP team contributing evaluation findings and collaborating on the student's educational plan
- Act as district LEA when requested
- Screen and evaluate referred children
- Liaison between district and non-public/home school students and parents in need of special services
- Administer assessments, conduct observations, and write evaluation reports
- Participate in early childhood screenings
- Conduct classroom observations to gether information and provide recommendations
- Facilitate growth of the district's MTSS processes and procedures
- Assists in the completion of functional behavioral analysis and behavior intervention plans
- Facilitate and implement SEL and behavior interventions with small groups of students
Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License with School Psychology Endorsement
- Internship/Practicum experience at the PK-8 level preferred
- Bilingual a plus.
Salary and Benefits are commensurate with RTSD 26 Negotiated Agreement.
