To coordinate and implement programs which supplement regular classroom instruction in appropriate subjects; to facilitate improved student achievement and close the achievement gap. 


Candidate must have a Professional Educator License that is valid in the State of Illinois.  Reading Specialist Certification preferred, but not required. Extensive knowledge of reading and writing programs and interventions, thorough understanding of the developmental progression of children’s literacy skills, and skill in collecting, interpreting, and communicating data to a variety of audiences is preferred. Ability to work as a member of a team, possess excellent organizational skill, demonstrate knowledge in support and intervention strategies, ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, and strong communication skills (oral and written) are preferred. 


Based on the current negotiated salary schedule in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Casey Westfield Education Association.
