Share: Print: Duties Develop vocal music program by improving students’ abilities from one year to the next and articulating with feeder schools to increase enrollment Recommend placement of students into choir classes, holding auditions for selected enrollment courses Plan, rehearse, and direct students in concerts and events for the school and community Prepare students to participate in conference and state competitions Coordinate Madrigals participation at extracurricular events, including, but not limited to, graduation, IMEA activities, community events, and other events as directed Keep an accurate inventory and maintain choir and music equipment, uniforms, and supplies Coordinate fundraising activities with the Music Sponsors for the development of additional choir activities and field trips Facilitate student learning through lesson planning and quality instruction Recommend to the Principal or designee supplies and materials needed for the class Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures Assess student work and provide meaningful feedback to the student(s) and parents/guardians that will be conducive to learning Maintain and update accurate records as required by the State, District, and Building Administration.
