Duties

MHS is looking for a full-time math instructor. MHS offers a well-rounded math curriculum.  The teaching assignment could include any of the MHS offerings. The MHS curriculum includes the following courses:  Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Workplace Math, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Statistics, and College and Career Readiness Math. For the 2025-2026 school year, Algebra I and Algebra II would be two courses taught.

Qualifications

Proper IL licensure. Additional endorsement areas are encouraged. 

Salary/Benefits

Per MEA agreement, available online at www.mendotahs.org. Additional stipends are available with intervention work and coaching opportunities. ***ONE-TIME SIGNING BONUS may be available. (5 X 5 salary index) Tier 2 TRS Members--13 sick days annually are available plus two personal days. Tier 1 TRS Members--14 sick days for years 1-20. Tuition Reimbursement is available for post-graduate courses which are in a graduate program leading to a Master's degree(s). The Board pays up to 10% of the salary figure directly to TRS. The Board pays up to 0.84% of the member T.H.I.S. insurance contribution directly to the appropriate state agency. **New hires (B.S.) with zero years of experience will begin on Step 3 of the starting salary, $42,270 based on the 24-25 school year, plus benefits. MHS offers Blue Cross and Blue Shield of IL health benefits, including dental and optional vision coverage.

Additional Notes

Mendota High School is located in a new HVAC updated, air-conditioned building with approximately 500 students. Multiple coaching and club sponsorship opportunities are available.
