Duties

SUMMARY:
Assists in all facets of school operations, school improvement, staff evaluation, curriculum delivery, student assessment programs, and monitoring of school budgets/expenditures. This position leads staff development initiatives on equity of instruction principles, administers the student personnel program and counsels’ students relative to educational and co-curricular activities.
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
All Certified and non-certified staff within the Elementary School.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements student personnel policies and coordinates activities with the policies of the Board of Education regarding attendance, discipline, and achievement.
Interviews students, parents, and staff to take necessary action in cases of truancy, delinquency, course failure, and/or discipline concerns.
Monitors student achievement data and institutes and/or implements adjustments in curriculum/instructional delivery.
Completes documentation and reports as needed to fulfill Federal, State, and District mandates in a timely manner.
Assumes any other duties as may from time to time be delegated by the superintendent and the superintendent may make any adjustments in the scope of responsibilities as outlined above.
Coordinates and supervises academic and co-curricular programs.
All actions must be in concert with the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the strategic plan of the Dakota CUSD #201 Board of Education.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Master’s Degree and Type 75 or General Administrative Certificate. Administrative experience and completion of Illinois State Evaluation Modules. Other proper certifications in accordance with the Illinois School Code are required.
