Duties

  • Administer and oversee the High School RTI Program.
  • Lead and collaborate with other RTI paraprofessionals.
  • Work with students individually or in small groups providing supplemental instruction per the students' needs.
  • Coordinate and provide directed study halls. 
  • Work with teachers to design coherent and appropriate interventions that align with classroom instructional outcomes and standards.
  • Will coordinate the implantation of all 504 learning plans at the high school.
  • Will coordinate and lead Problem Solving Team (PST) meetings as needed.
  • Prepare and monitor weekly and monthly data reports.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly RTI Data Team meetings and Faculty Committee meetings.
  • The RTI Coordinator will coordinate the school-wide Positive Behavior Incentive program known as Fast Friday.
  • Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences.
  • Create/maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students. 
  • Build rapport with students and staff in meaningful ways in order to develop trusting relationships.
  • Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the school district. 
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
  • Work cooperatively with instructional teachers, paraprofessionals, and social-emotional staff that impact assigned students.

Qualifications

Illinois ELIS - Professional Educators License

Additional Notes

  • Experience with high school students preferred.
  • Knowledge of learning difficulties and disorders preferred. 
  • Experience with students from various academic, socio-economic, and behavioral backgrounds preferred.
  • Knowledge of progress monitoring, data-driven decision making, and RTI interventions preferred.
